New Clippie Set - Fall Theme

I just love how this clippie set turned out. Cute Scarecrow and his little friend crow. These where made for a monthly challenge on Etsy, will post more on that later after the poll is up.

Scarecrow and Little Friend Crow Set

Bear with me on my camera skills, I had to borrow my daughters after mine took a nosedive off the table! The battery cover broke and the silly thing keeps loosing all the settings I had set. So after trying to live with it duct taped together and still not working right (yes, you can laugh at me for taping my camera back together rofl) ....I am borrowing my daughters until I can replace mine. :0)

Woohooo...I finished all costumes!!

I love this feeling, I actually got both costumes finished (with a day to spare!) and they look awesome!

I even managed to take some before pics of the clothes that I altered for the pirate costume. I started with a plain white shirt, striped pants (hard to see in the picture but they are laying under the white shirt), and a suede skirt, and a hat that I already pre-made.

I cut out a basic vest shape from the skirt and added some gold buttons from my stash. The pants I had to take in a bit to get the right size, added some patches to the front of then snipped the bottoms with pinking shears. Oh and I even made a little eye patch from some of the scrap skull ribbon (used for patches) and felt. Think we need to add a belt and we are finished!

And finally my daughters dress, love how it turned out!!!! We added some red tulle to the skirt to give it a little funkiness and make it pop, and the tights just finish it off perfectly. Made from a pattern, with a few minor tweaks.:0)

I've Gone And Done It

I signed up for my first official craft show. Now the nail biting begins... The good part-I still have 4 weeks to work all of this out. The bad - I don't even have the any kind of set up for a table or booth. Let alone trying to make sure I have enough stock. But I figure it will be fun, I'll meet some new people and it's only one day so I can treat it as a learning experience. Got to look for the silver lining right ;)

Rambling and I've Been Tagged

I've come to the conclusion that I really stink at blogging. I end up rambling on about nothing or sound so boring! I really hope that I get better with time. I always have good intentions but them seem to fizzle out when it comes time to type it all out.

With that said, it seems I have been tagged by Rose Bush Design. I had no idea what all this meant until I went to her blog to read more. I have to list 6 things about me and then tag 5 people. The tagging others will be hard for me because I really don't know that many people to tag! Okay on to the list ..hmmmm

1. When I am not making bows or headbands ...I am crocheting. I have to keep my hands busy. I have a huge stack of girls hats ....and my daughter is to big to wear them. (I think I have issues!)

2. This is the longest I have ever lived in one town. We have been here for 7 yrs. Growing up we where constantly moving, so I think that explains my itch to move lately.

3. I lived in the UK for a few years....and miss it terrible!

4. I love to watch the history channel, science channel...any thing like that. I just love them.

5. My favorite color is deep green. I love rich jewel tones.

6. I am a total smart ass without meaning to ...it just spills out and I can't keep my mouth shut.

So that's basically me in a nut shell. :) Thanks for tagging me Beth!

Getting Ready For The Holidays - plus new ribbon in stock

I mentioned before that I was invited back to a Christmas festival. Last year I was only given about a weeks notice. Talk about rushing to make bows! This year I actually have about 8 weeks to get ready. So what do I do but jump in there and start making bows and headbands like crazy. In fact over the past few days I have made 55 bows and 6 headbands, plus squeeze in few orders. I thought I would give you a peak, they still need to be finished and clips attached but, don't they look so cute? I just love how little girls look in classic pinwheel bows, they go with everything! And I have added some new ribbons to my stock. I now carry Lil Sister(pictured) and Big Sister ribbon, adorable honey bees, Ice cream cones, Cupcakes, and many more.

Cutest Sheep In The World

Is this not the cutest sheep in the world? I just love her! In fact I found her so adorable...I made a treasury based around her. She can be found on Etsy in fantiny's shop. Be sure to check her shop out she has more adorable critters and the other sweet sheep creations in my treasury.
